HLB Sheehan Quinn is a leading business advisory and accountancy firm, ranking among the top 20 firms in Ireland. Due to continued growth and expansion in our audit department, we are now seeking to recruit part qualified accountants with audit experience.

We are looking to recruit part qualified accountants who will be self-motivated and capable of working on their own initiative.

You will have direct access to partners and the ability to provide a valued opinion within the team. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious and driven candidates to progress within the firm.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver audit assignments to a high standard of quality, ensuring conformance with FRS102 and Irish GAAP, addressing key risks effectively and adhering to allotted timescales, budgets and resource allocation.

  • Organising the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments within budget.

  • Draft high-quality financial statements and audit reports that include practical recommendations to address all risk issues and control weaknesses identified during the assignment, with a clear supporting rationale.

  • Liaising with clients to obtain relevant information in order to resolve any queries.

  • Liaise closely and build effective working relationships with staff in all disciplines (tax, company secretarial etc.) to facilitate and support the audit process.

  • Ad-Hoc advisory work (as required)

A successful candidate will have the following criteria:
  • Part qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA)

  • At least 18 months small/medium-sized practice experience (including audit)

  • Have experience in Caseware, Relate Accounts Production, MS Excel and MS Word.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at any one time.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

  • Ambitious and want to pursue a career in practice.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
